The Heartbreak of Social Media (And Why We Need to Take A Break From It)

LIFESTYLE : FAMILY
My teen sat next to me on the couch. The closeness wasn’t exactly weird, but the heaviness in the air was. “Hey, what’s up?” I asked and then –the hardest part–I waited. It took awhile for the words to come and when they did, they broke my heart. Uninvited. It’s one of those things you […] The post The Heartbreak of Social Media (And Why We Need to Take A Break From It) appeared first on Kristen Welch. Click here to check out my book Advertise on

Passing the Sword to a New Generation as THE LEGEND OF ZELDA Continues...

It was 1991 when THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: A LINK TO THE PAST arrived, the third game in the Zelda series, and first for the recently-launched Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). I came into THE LEGEND OF ZELDA a tad late, our family getting the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) a few years after it came out, but just at the right time (probably 1988 or so) to be really into the Zelda series by the time that THE SUPER MARIO BROS. SUPER SHOW! started airing in syndication the follow

My kids have made so many cute baby jesus crafts for Christmas over the years. Each one holds a special place in my heart. When I was little, I made an ornament a little tiny toy baby inside and walnut shell and covered it with a little scrap of cloth. That's the inspiration for this year's baby jesus ornament.

Why (Interracial Adoption) Still Exist

LIFESTYLE : FAMILY
I know that there are many adult KADs that want to see Korean intercountry adoptions sease. And if it is absolutely neccesary it should be replaced by domestic adoptions.Maybe that's delusional to try to strive for an ideal word, since the "demand" for orphan babies doesn't seem to end. The only thing that possibly would end intercountry adoptions would be if the South Korean government outlawed interracial adoptions. After nearly 64 years the practice still remain, which is remarkable even if so
