MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman has been arrested after a video shared online showed two children getting out of pet kennels inside the trunk of an SUV in Memphis, police said. 62-year-old Leimome Cheeks was arrested and charged with two counts of child endangerment. According to the affidavit, the children told police there was no room in the backseat, so their grandmother told them to get inside the dog cages.

FAYETTE COUNTY, Tenn. — A teenager is dead after he was shot by his half-brother during an argument over a honey bun, according to authorities in Fayette County, Tenessee. The Fayette County Sheriff's Department said 18-year-old Marcus Jones was found dead from a gunshot wound around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at a house on Feathers Chapel Drive.
